Posted March 8, 201015 yr I'm designing a box with the help of the torres box calc and sketchup and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or if this looks right. I believe I included all necessary dimensions, but if I forgot any let me know. The subs will be mounted on double baffle up top, with rear facing port. Any help/suggestions/comments are appreciated!
March 8, 201015 yr Yeah your gonna want more port area, usually the rule of thumb is 12-16in^2/per cube. So if you were shooting for a 5ft^3 after displacements (subs, port and/or bracing), you should have 60-80 in^2 of port area.

So shoot for 84 or so inches of port area and good to go? Edited March 8, 201015 yr by John Holmes
March 8, 201015 yr Yeah that is cool, Jacob told me to shoot for 12in^2/ per cube with my application so that should work.
