i have a 3 inch by 12 inch port that goes in 9 inches which means its tuned to 32 hz ... if i maybe woulda made it thinner and went back farther could it of been louder?

the rest of the box specs would be very helpfull.

so ur port is 3" wide, from the top to the bottom of ur box and goes in 9"?

You can't have a 12" tall port in a box that's 12.75" tall outer dimensions. Did you give us internal dimensions?
