I'm going to order a BTL 18 1-ohm after I order a T1500-1bd. I was planning on getting all the options, daily, and universal. I was just wondering if there's any downside to getting the universal option.

Thanks for the help.

you would have to get a recone to change the VC config. but that can still be looked at as better than buying a whole new sub, so its not really a downside :) i dont know of any. might as well just in case. and its free!

interested if there are any negative side effects to it as well.

That's what I was thinking. On the website, it doesn't list any downsides, and its free, so I thought I should go with it.

The universal option machines the gap for D2 ohm coils. When using a D1 coil in a D2 gap you will loose a little bit of motor strength, but not anything to worry about when using the sub in a daily application. If you were competing seriously you'd want every last bit you can get.

Thanks for the info., that's what I was looking for.

If you order a dual 1 ohm BTL without the universal option is there any way to convert it into a dual 2?

No

So does that mean the dual 2 is the same with or without this option?
