After all specs and pricing is weighed, what would be the better route?

Amp would be a stetsom 4k2d or

saz 3500d.

Biggest enclosure I could do is 4.2 cubes before displacements. I will use two 4" x 17" aeroports (double flare).

Thanks

are you planning on competing?

Yeah, I plan on getting in the lanes from time to time. This would be my daily though.

If I can't afford the SMD because I still have wire, terminals, batteries, MDF, etc. that I need to buy, what would be next in line?

the smd is like a little bit chunkier btl.

im kinda leaning toward the dc and the saz 3500, if you wired it at 1 or less ohm's it'd be reallll loud and low.

wouldn't happen to know the DC lvl5 recommended specs for ported enclosure?

Anyone know the displacements of the two different subs?

box wouldnt be big enough and your port area is too small for such an install.

A Single 6" Aero would be the BARE minimum i'd go with.

3.5 cubes for like only daily, but 5 cubes for spl

Thanks 4 the replys fellas. Specs for the SMD say anywhere from 2-4 cubes will work. I figure w/ enough power, I should be alright in a 3.5 cube enclosure (after displacements)?

I am not an spl guy at all, but I think I saw that the Sundown Nightshade can play in smaller boxes than the others.

Take a look.

Good luck with your purchase, and show us pics of what you choose.

:)

Yeah Nightshades like small enclosures, and they are not all out SPL drivers by any means ;)

If you cannot afford the level 5 then take a look at the level4 xl or the level4 with level 5 coils. I have 3k going to my level 4 with level 5 coils. Daily and competition for me as well. But I am just giving you more options.
