May 5, 201015 yr finally i decided to run 2 15 l7s sealed.i recently hooked up just one 15 l7 in 5 cft sealed. and its absolutely what i searched for!the low lows are so awesome its incredible! my steering wheel and my entire front seats are flexing. even my rear tires are wobbling playing bass i love you.its not as loud as ported l7s i heard overall but ive never heard anything louder on the low end than my single 15 l7. im waiting to get the second one in im pretty sure i will stick with kicker from now on. god im so happy.both 15 l7 will run in a 12 cft sealed box. hmm im so excited :)
May 5, 201015 yr Also, 6 cubes each is a bit much unless you want a useless F3 of 20hz, kicker does recommend 6cf3 max though. With 12 cubes you could have ported them @ 30hz, why didn't you do that?Size (IN.,CM) 15, 38.1 Impedance (OHMS) 2 or 4 DVC Max Rec Amplifier Power (WATTS PEAK/RMS)* 2000/1000 Sensitivity (dB 1w/1m) 89.4 Frequency Response (Hz) 18-100 Mounting Depth (IN.,CM) 8-11/16, 22.1 Mounting Cutout, Square (IN.,CM) 13-3/4, 34.9 Min Rec Sealed Box Volume (CU. May 5, 201015 yr You could have used 2 18's ported in 12 cubes, why didn't you do that? 3 18's sealed, etc... 4 15's sealed even, why?
May 5, 201015 yr Author i really like the l7s and im completely pleased with them. theres no reason to change.after having had a three ported boxes in my car before the sealed one i can say to my ear the sealed box is the best choice for me.it gets lower than any ported box ive heard and it also kills the ported ones on the very low lows. the higher notes arent loud at all, but the low ones are awesome.if i ever imagine upgrading, then i will definitely go with 4 15 l7s sealed.
May 8, 201015 yr heres a little excursion video of my 15 l7.as long as your happy, thats all that matters. however, us sealed box guys would have chosen very differently. to each his own
May 8, 201015 yr I'm in the uk and the best budget subs have to be jbl gt's. So many different types of install with varying amounts of power all producing great results. Out of the four or five you mentioned I'd go Orion hcca. Cracking subs that take a load of abuse. I only comment on things of heard and budget jbl gt, more money the Orion.

May 8, 201015 yr How so low and loud. I loved them. Four 12s off 8k in a ported box, can't remember tuning. Did 150db under 35Hz sound lovely accurate and plenty of low end umph.
