Hey guys, I thought I'd start this topic before I istall everything to learn and get some info on how to do it. I bought 50.4 to run Image Dynamics CTX65CS in front and CTX6 in back. Then I grabbed 125.2 to run two Image Dynamics ID8''D4 v.3, both at 2ohm run on separate channel and Trevor at PTS is building ported box for them now. All of this will go to Pioneer 880PRS head unit. I know how to connect everything, I will pretty much get to the part where everytihing is connected and I start to wonder what the knobs on the amp do :) There's just so many of them :) any info would be nice....

have you read the manuals? :P

You'll end up with an answer if you post something specific you want to know, instead of asking what everything is.

I'll edit my post and give a brief a explanation on some of the basic "knobs" on the amps (be back in an hour) :)

Thoroughly read the instruction manual first!

Just a few links to read over and hopefully give you a better idea on what to do and not to do.

Ask all the questions you need as I would hate to see you ruin some great amplifiers.

I glanced quick at the manual and thought it only had pictures on how to wire the speakers to the amp, I was distracted and never came back to it as I thought there was not much info on it, will get to reading asap :)

EDIT: there's actually no explanation in the manual http://www.sundownaudio.com/SAX504_1004_1252.pdf

Ok, I read and I got the the point where I think setting gain will set how much power the speakers/subs receive, so I will follow that link on how to setup gain the proper way.

Now any links on what the subsonic is ?

I also looked online about the 880prs and it says it has:

# High-Pass Crossover (HPF): 50/63/80/100/ 125/160/200Hz, 0/-6/-12dB/Oct.

# Subwoofer Crossover (LPF): 50/63/80/100/ 125/160/200Hz, -6/-12/-18dB/Oct.

I just hope I'm not in over my head with setting up those amps and hu

So so far I will follow that guide on setting the gain with dmm.

Also I read somewhere that having a box ported tuned to around 30-35hz then you should set the subsonic filter to few hz below that.

But what about subsonic filter for my coaxials and components on the other amp, what do you set the subsonic filter on those to ?

The subsonic is used as an HPF if you are going active and have that set of channels set to LPF -- therefore resulting in a bandpass crossover.

You could take it to a local dealer Sundown dealer.

The amps are really straight forward to setup.
