  • Whew it's been a long time since I've done a build for myself. This one is modest and not going to be as insane as my last, but then again I am a little bit older now...

Quite an elaborate enclosure. Looking great!

Looks really good man!! Some great wood working skills you have. Do you use a table saw or just the circular?

maybe I missed this, but how is this going in the truck? It looks a little too wide to go port forward.

Thank you!

I use a circular saw, 2 drills, router, and 2 sanders.

As for how it'll fit in the rear of the truck,

it's simple I took measurements and planned this build since Christmas! LOL

It's 52" wide which give me 1/8" on each side for the cap clamps to clear.

The "hood" part is going to be real tricky...

It's going in after the enclosure gets shoved into the bed.

My buddy James and I were thinking and measuring at the tailgate,

we think the enclosure will be able to slide right in without having to take

the cap off like I needed to when I put my last one in.

I can lift this by myself, barely......LOL

I just need some help so I don't bash the hell out of everything when I put it in.

It's way too humid and windy to primer the port today, so I'm off to go sand some screw holes! (weeeeeeeeeeeeee!)

Thanks!

I can't wait to actually hear my Icon's again!

It's been so long (about 8 months :ehh: )

When I pulled them back out for a test fit,

I forgot how beefy these puppies are!

Hey boss any updates?

Just a bunch of sanding and prep work for painting the port. (too boring for pics)

It's in primer now and I'm going for a test fit here in a few minutes.

Providing I can locate an extra set of hands to help lift this beast!

Also today I welded up a plate to set the secondary battery on.

It's going where the bigger "notch out" is on the rear of the enclosure. (last picture shown above)

While it's in there I'm taking final measurements for the "hood" that will go on top.

Glad it fits!

It finally fits very well !

What a huge cargo area! You still have a lot of room left.

Nice work with the 45s everywhere inside.

You're a serious box builder !

Heluva fit haha that's awesome can't wait to hear it.

When am I going to get to hear this bitch? Lol

I'll be pluggin' away at this all weekend long!

I just picked up paint, some bolts, and another sheet of MDF for the "hood".

Hopefully she'll burp her first note this weekend! :woot:

I'm not sure on the carpet yet........

I may wait till after Slamology to wrap the enclosure, I still have a ton of little

things to do, at least I already have most of the wiring ran from the last install.

If I get it up and running I promise pics and a short video demo. :fing34:

video's are always fun :)

And hopefully on this one there will be no flex at all from the back end or the truck cap.

Well I'm off to get a few hours in before it gets dark here.

Well, I managed to squeeze in some work between rain storms the past couple days.

Here's the shelf that will hold the secondary battery in the rear.

Trevor don't laugh at my welds.....I just started to learn how 2 weeks ago....LOL

Here's the tracks that will hold the hood to the enclosure.

Time to carve out the sides and see how they fit.

They're on a 12-1/2 degree bevel to fit the window taper.
