Q 15: sealed or ported?

I am pretty much set on having a single 15" Q. I am upgrading from a 12" type r, ported, and I am looking for better SQ. My question is, will the sealed get as loud as my ported 12? And if not, will it still have good quality if I port it low? Space is not really an issue. Also, it will likely get 1000w RMS at 2 ohms

More than likely it will be louder.

If it is louder sealed or even about the same volume as the Type R then that is plenty loud for me. So I should seal it in a box about 2.5 cubes?
