The tech page says the cooling option increases power handling by 200-500 watts depending on install and scenario. Would I be wrong in guessing a sealed enclosure (in the neighborhood of 1.2 cu ft) would put it towards the higher end of that increase estimate?

welcome, how about you throw up a more detailed post in the general forum section to get an answer.

Looks detailed enough to me. And it's in the right section.

When they refer to install, your gain setting and enclosure are lumped into that. So if you have clean power, with no clipping and your box is within the Fi recommended specifications... the sub should have no problem handling the extra wattage.

Power recommendations do not change...

The Q is still a 1000 watt sub...just because you have cooling doesn't give you a free ticket to throw the amp full bore into it when you have a 1500 watt amp that's really only capable of making 1000 watts of 'clean' reliable power...

It's all about the install, users habits..and if you like to turn knobs or not :)

If you abuse it..they will break. If you don't..then they wont :)

Hope this helps!

This should be stickied in the technical section for the Q's to prevent people from thinking that Cooling is a new alternative to BP Power, most people will read that Cooling will automatically give them more thermal power handling regardless of the application.
