Posted August 9, 200520 yr which amp would you guys reccomend to power my 12" soundsplinter rl-p d2i was looking at the Phoenix Gold Xenon 1200.1 but then again i was looking at the Diamond Audio D61500.1if anybody could lead me in the right direction to what amp wouldhelp my woofer sound great just shoot thanks in advance
August 9, 200520 yr Admin it really does not need that level of power to get a lot out of it, do you have a price range you want to work with and certain features you like?750 watts is plenty
August 11, 200520 yr Author id like to work with about $500 for an amplifier and id like to get a big enough amp so i can run 2 subs off of it, i plan on getting another soundsplinter 12 thats why i picked out such high wattage amps
August 12, 200520 yr the Orion 1200 is a great choice at a good price from HCCAfan<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I agree, you may also want to look at eD NINe.1 if the 1200D seems pricey. If you can afford the 1200D I would opt for it.

August 12, 200520 yr Author oh and one more question what impadence should i have my sub wired up to the sub is a dual 2ohms so im not the smaretest kid when it comes to this but can i wire it a 2ohms or not, but if im not mistake i can only wire a dual 2ohm sub to 1 or 4 ohms but please correct me if i am wrong
August 13, 200520 yr Author D2 = 1 or 4 ohms<{POST_SNAPBACK}>which would i wire it up to so i can get more of an LSQ sound from the sub
August 13, 200520 yr imo, 1 ohm will boom louder, but 4ohm wont be as strenuous on your amp.i myself run a JL e1800D ($380 on ebay) to my RL-p, but its a dual 4 so i get 1000x1 @ 2ohmsthat amp also does 640 @ 4ohms, food for thought

August 15, 200520 yr up to the sub is a dual 2ohms so im not the smaretest kid when it comes to this but can i wire it a 2ohms or not, but if im not mistake i can only wire a dual 2ohm sub to 1 or 4 ohms but please correct me if i am wrongYou mentioned possibly running dual drivers, so let's lay this down clearly:A Single Dual 2ohm Driver may be wired for 1ohm or 4ohm operationTwo Dual 2ohm Drivers may be wired together for 0.5 or 2ohm operation.LikewiseA Single Dual 4ohm Driver may be wired for 2ohm or 8ohm operationTwo Dual 4ohm Drivers may be wired together for 1ohm or 4ohm operation.Sound quality should not be affected by the varied operational impedance. Generally speaking, a 4ohm load seems to be the easiest on car electrical systems. Just ensure that the amp you are using will be able to provide your desired power level at the given impedance that you end up wiring to.If you need further assistance, I urge you to email me: contact
