Posted May 8, 201015 yr I just purchased 2 Fi Q's 12" dual 2 OHM and was wondering what gauge speaker wire to run with these.I am looking into getting the Rockford Fosgate T2500-1bd. Just to help if there is any confusion here are some specs.T2500-1bd:1000 Watts RMS x 1 @ 4-Ohms1800 Watts RMS x 1 @ 2-Ohms2500 Watts RMS x 1 @ 1-OhmAccepts Speaker Wire Gauge from 8 AWG to 16 AWGFi Q 12cooling - yesp champer - yes it comes with the cooling optionhigh QTS - yes i will be using a sealed boxextra spider - yesI heat ring - noAny other knowledgeable advice is accepted. May 8, 201015 yr 10-14 gauge will be fine for subwoofers but you can do as big as 8 gauge if you want to but that is overkill (comes down to personal preference or whats available).

May 10, 201015 yr You may want to rethink your choice of amplifier. With two dual 2 ohm subs your final wiring configurations are .5, 2, or 8 ohms. You will only get 1800 watts out of that Rockford at 2 ohms. Just in case you were thinking you'd get all 2500 at 1 ohm.
May 10, 201015 yr 12 gauge. Remember you have 100'+ of flatwound aluminum 18 AWG in your Nightshades I'm guessing it's 18 AWG at least, it's definitely not larger.
