Posted May 11, 201015 yr Hello Guys,What do you think will work best for me and will sound louder, 12" in a 2.5 cu.ft. or 15" in 3 cu.ft. both will be tuned 37hz? Brand is IA Warden.Recommended enclosure for 12" - 2-3 cu. ft. Recommended enclosure for 15" - 3-5 cu. ft.Thanks in advance! Edited May 11, 201015 yr by abigor
May 11, 201015 yr Author Depends on the subwoofer and it's T/S parameters! It will be both IA warden, and as we all know warden don't have any T/S.BTW it will be powered by two 2000watts strapped 4k in total.
May 11, 201015 yr They do have T/S parameters, they just aren't listed. Go with the 12" as you don't have enough room for a proper enclosure for a 15".
May 11, 201015 yr Go with the 12" as you don't have enough room for a proper enclosure for a 15".This, I always like going with the smaller setup. It allows you more room to play around with box designs.
May 11, 201015 yr If you have 3 cuft NET volume and proper port area, I would do the 15", since you have 4000 watts. . .I have run 15" BTL's and Mayhems in less than 3 ft and they sounded great.
May 13, 201015 yr I always liked smaller setups... More impressive. Both are going to be loud as all H E double hockey sticks, and the Wardens handle plenty of power, so I'd do the 1 12, because I think that the larger box size, (in proportion to the driver), could get louder. Are you sure you have enough room for port area for the 15? May 13, 201015 yr Yes, if u havent factored in port area yet... then it sounds like 12 would be the way to go but the 15 in 3 cubes is fine.

May 14, 201015 yr You want it to sound good, but you tune it to 37hz?I don't know if the 12 would handle the 4k w RMS in a 2.5cu ft enclosure.(maybe if you're responsible with it)
