well one of my older set ups was an alpha on a saz1500 ported tuned to 37 hz and it was one of the best sounding subs i had ever heard. my xcon should be here this weekend so should i expect better or around the same. the alpha was one of the original models afew years ago.

    37hz is a high tuning for a daily driver SQ install. The Xcon, in the suggested enclosure and tuning, should sound better.

    Drop your tuning down to around 33hz and the XCON should be a low end monster with great overall SQ!

    Really no comparison imo, SSA ftw!
