June 20, 201015 yr Make sure the woofer isn't wired out of phase! Also how do you have your crossover set?
June 20, 201015 yr i dont think its clipping i think it bottoming out. that amp doesn't have a adjustable subsonic filter its fixed at 15hz. So i think its time for you to get an adjustable subsonic filter
June 20, 201015 yr Author i followed the enclosure rrecamidations in this tread i have to turn down my gain all the way for the clipping to be stopped what did you mean by the sub bottoming out Edited June 20, 201015 yr by john33432
June 20, 201015 yr Author its everytime that the sub hit a low note its like it crackels i was told that my head unit is only 2 volts and that i needed 4 volts could this be the problem
June 20, 201015 yr You said this is happening even with the gain on low? Is the sub moving far at all when you hear the crackle or whatever? And whoever told you that was the problem is a retard. Don't listen to whatever they have to say again.
June 20, 201015 yr Author it happens when i have the gain on low the sub is moving a little bit prob a 1/4 inch and then the crackel when do i post the video of the subI am stationed in korea but i am at home on leave right now Edited June 20, 201015 yr by john33432

June 21, 201015 yr Trust me its not YOUR deck all pre out votlage does is help you use less gain on the amp Higher volt the less gain you have to give on the amp. On 2volt decks you have to turn the gain up more to get more output out of the amp!!! Just have to be careful! My guess is your subsonic on the amp is set lower or higher then the tuning of your box and its trying to hit freq out of its tuning range!!!. WHICH is very bad for the sub!

June 21, 201015 yr Check the ground on the amp, check the rca connections and the rca's themselves. Trouble shoot, start from front to back and double check all connections.
