i recenly got a 12inch bl and i just got it installed today and it is clipping i have an Alpine MRP-m1000, And the faceplate is an Pioneer - Model: DEH-2200UB i have the gain turned down but it isnt hardly hitting at all it is in a 2000 dodge intrepid and when i do turn it up you cant hear the clipping cant hear the clipping inside but once you open the trunk you can hear it clear as day here are the options for the sub Ohm: dual 1Hyper_Pole: noCooling: yes +$30Flatwind: yes +$15Daily_or_SPL: DailyUniversal: noDustcap: white

Make sure the woofer isn't wired out of phase! Also how do you have your crossover set?

i dont think its clipping i think it bottoming out. that amp doesn't have a adjustable subsonic filter its fixed at 15hz. So i think its time for you to get an adjustable subsonic filter

Give us the dimensions of your enclosure with port or vent dimensions.

its everytime that the sub hit a low note its like it crackels i was told that my head unit is only 2 volts and that i needed 4 volts could this be the problem

You said this is happening even with the gain on low? Is the sub moving far at all when you hear the crackle or whatever?

And whoever told you that was the problem is a retard. Don't listen to whatever they have to say again.

your in koara>?? take a vid of the noise please

Not at all

Trust me its not YOUR deck all pre out votlage does is help you use less gain on the amp Higher volt the less gain you have to give on the amp. On 2volt decks you have to turn the gain up more to get more output out of the amp!!! Just have to be careful!

My guess is your subsonic on the amp is set lower or higher then the tuning of your box and its trying to hit freq out of its tuning range!!!. WHICH is very bad for the sub!

Check the ground on the amp, check the rca connections and the rca's themselves. Trouble shoot, start from front to back and double check all connections.

What box is it in? Check the box really well for air leaks.
