Hi so I am currently setting up my first system for my 09 corolla. I'm trying to choose between the Q15 or BL15. I know the Q is more SQ and the BL is more SPL but....

Which would be better for a daily driver listening to Hardstyle, Dubstep, Techno, Hiphop. I do want it loud but don't want distortion.

The Amp would be a AQ1200

Distortion is really more of a product of the amplification than the subwoofer. Harmonic distortions created from cone break up, power compression, etc. from subwoofers is never really heard as distortion in the sense of clipping an amplifier. I can say with great confidence that either sub will impress you, however, the woofer for you will surely be the BL. Yes, it is geared more toward SPL than the Q, but the sound you'll get from it IN THE PROPER ENCLOSURE will astound you and you will not be disappointed IMO.

You will not be disappointed in the BL. I have one and with the right enclosure it sounds great on that same music. I compete with some of those kinds of music and it gets loud and still sounds good.

BL. It can get louder. Also is probably a bit more robust of a moofer.
