Posted June 26, 201015 yr This may be a stupid question but this has kinda thrown me off. When buying a dual 1 ohm sub does that make the sub 2 ohm or just 1 ohm?? Would the dual 1 ohm be 0.5 ohms in parallel? Thanks!
June 26, 201015 yr Don't think you can run an amp at .5ohm nominal load daily either.Any manufacturer that condones doing that is stupid.DO NOT do it. You WILL burn stuff up.Get a dual 2 and wire in parallel to 1ohm, and leave it at that...people thinking you have to wire shit way down to get more power out of it blows my mind...you do NOT do that stuff for daily. A tone burst at an SPL competition..sure..daily. NO. Those korean/chinese amps cannot handle it. They freak out.

June 28, 201015 yr Get the Dual 2 if not already done so and wire parallel to 1 ohm for the most output like Nick said, .5 ohm will just ruin the amp.
