So I have a problem

I am getting ready to make a ported box for my BTL 12 that is fully loaded.

my big question is how do I tune my port to 32hz?

the dimensions are 18w x 14h x 20d which comes out to be 2.20812 cubic feet.

can I please get some help and advice I used a slot port calc but I guess the port length looked funny to me.

Can you go bigger on the dimensions?

yes I can go bigger like 35W x 14H x 25D

Its just weird to me that when I make my port width wider it makes my port length longer..... any ideas

Port length is determined on net box volume, port area, and tuning frequency. So when you are changing the area from say 30in^2 to 35in^2 and have the same volume and tuning frequency, you will need a longer port. I would take the extra space you have and add in a double baffle and some bracing.
