have no clue how to even start but am woundering how to convert my 12v to a 16v system ? what is all requierd i don't have a budget as of yet but i am also wondering how much aproximatly it would cost.

Run second alt at 16v just for amps. Then use stock one at 14v for everything else,Otherwise you'll fry your stock electrical.

The epic 16 volt setup lol that is what my next upgrade will be lol

To do it get 16 volt batteries then get a step up device and away you go lol price say 600 plus that is the device and 2 batteries

Why do you want 16v?

cause he thinks he'll have more power, but probably won't have any more amperage...

Why do you want 16v?

just curious for another project to work on and it will give you a little more out of your amp is what ive heard.

couldnt i get an alternator that puts out 16v to charge a rear battery and put a restrictor on the lines that run to my 14v setup? if they make a resrictor?

i'd only recommend doing it if you competed.

It's true that going from 14.4 to 18v, most amps almost double output... but not like u think.

Take a 3500d, the old school line. 3500w @14v, 6500w @18v. that is with 10% THD @18v so not clean.

also, you will probably not hear a difference anyways and if u did, it's a VERY expensive upgrade to do...

stick to 12v system. If u need more voltage, get a high output alternator.

That

If you want more power, upgrade your 12v and buy bigger amps.
