Ok where to order my sa 8s from ? SSa store? and can somone tell my the speaker displacement of these? Thanks

Displacement is .1 and you'll have to wait for Jacob/Sundown to restock them before you can purchase.

I am going to run 5 of these bad boys lol But i did have a question about port area for these I am going to give them about .6 a piece and want to tune to 35 htz Should i go 1 4in port or 2 or even more than that ?

I have 4 in 5cu net or 1.25cu per using 3-4" psp's tuned to 33hz being ran off a SAZ-1500D @ 1ohm and it slams :drink40: I think 2 should be sufficient but I'm sure someone else will chime in that is more knowledgable to give you the precise answer. 5 should be sick and will give you lots of wide eyed "holy shit, those are 8's" responses :fing34:

I was thinkin should i give them a little more than .6 a piece maybe .8 I am feeding them each about 660 rms and they will get abused a lot lol so i want them to be pretty comfortable.... So many questions lol I never messed with sundown or anything smaller than a 15 so i not sure about anything

I want these for that reason of somene sayng holy shit batman those are 8s lol

This is a video from when they first got installed. The setup is a little different now and I've had time to break them in and tune since.

  • Author

very nice

Another question running 3 4in ports i need like 18 ins long to get the tune down to 35 but the only kit i see on parts express is 17in long anywhere else i should look

Give yourself 1ft^3 each woofer net. 5ft^3 at 32hz you will need 3 4" aeros with a length of 14.7".

  • Author

even with me over powering them ? It sound pretty good

How much dislacement would the 3 aeros take up ?

Edited by VarinaBassing

If you have a variable subsonic filter and set the gains properly you should be just fine.

displacement for 3 4" aeros is somewhere around 589.5inch^3.

I been going back and forth between 10s and 8s lol If i went 10s i would get 4 which cost me like 560 the 5 8s cost 650 but i only have about 7 and a half inchs depth the 10s are 6 in deep and 8s are 5.25 deep

Think the 10s are better choice ?

  • Author

i have the 6 cubes net for the 4 10s which is 1.5 cubes a piece

  • Author

I am seriously thinking about 10s now lol i will have more cone area and less money spent seems like a win win right now
