Posted July 5, 201015 yr Admin Group Buy on Merlin MD-21 and AX-600DE and possibly the AXTU600C.US Amps have decided to end the Merlin line a little while back. There are few new left in existence. We, the SSA Store, can do a short group buy on the Merlin MD-21 & AX-600DE & AX TU-600C. The MD-21's are excellent smaller 2 channel amps, the AX600DE is a high end small footprint mono block and the AX TU600C are tube 4 channel amps, once they are gone. Now this topic is to gauge if people are actually going to do it, DO NOT POST IF YOU ARE WINDOW SHOPPING!Merlin MD-21PWR: 75x2@4, 100x2@2, 200x1@4THD: 0.03% at rated 4 ohmsDamping Factor: >600Fuse Rating: 30x1Voltage Range: 12v-16vDIM (WxHxD): 7.9 x 2.5 x 8.75AX-600DETHD: <0.25% @ 4ohmsS/N Ratio: >95dBFrequency Response (+0, -16db): 5Hz~20KHzDamping Factor (@ 4ohms/50Hz): >600Input Range: 200mV~9V250W x 1 @ 4ohms400W x 1 @ 2ohms700W x 1 @ 1ohmAXTU600C75W x 4 @ 4O90W x 4 @ 2O180W x 2 @ 4O monoBridged Output: 600W X 1 @ 4O THD @ 4O: <0.05%S/N Ratio: >95 dBDamping Factor: >600Dimensions: 2.7 x 11 x 16.1 InchesSlew Rate: 150 VusGroup Buy rough details:If there is real interest and more then 10 people with money in hand, the pricing would be:MD-21 (~30 Units left):Normal MAP pricing: $265Group Buy pricing: $165AX-600DE (~4 units left):Normal MAP pricing: $615Group Buy Pricing: $279AXTU600C (~25 units left):Normal MAP pricing: $875Group Buy pricing: $425
July 5, 201015 yr Aaron, is the 600DE the old one that looks the same as the Merlins, or the new dull gray look?If it's the old ones, count me in for 1.
July 6, 201015 yr This is the 600de? www.mobilesoundworks.com/PhotoGallery.asp?ProductCode=ax%2D600de
July 6, 201015 yr Author Admin This is the 600de? www.mobilesoundworks.com/PhotoGallery.asp?ProductCode=ax%2D600deYes, that is the one.
July 6, 201015 yr Author Admin Aw man, that sucks. Count me out. Sorry, but they look like puke to me. . .I am not too worried about looks, as it is a sweet amp and would be perfect for a pair of Dcon's.

For drivers, I have no concern; amplifiers on the other hand, should be a focal point of the install and must be appealing. Unfortunately, the new amps are not appealing (aesthetically), to me.

July 6, 201015 yr Author Admin I'd purchase a Leviathan $200 off in a heartbeat though. Haha, me too.
July 6, 201015 yr That is some killer pricing!Guys I run the AX line in my second car. I have the 600de pushing an IDMAX12D2 and it is very strong. Great amp with small footprint. Don't count it out because, it doesn't kick out 1.21 Gigawatts. I have also run the AXTU4360 for highs and midbass. I believe that the AXTU600C is a 2 channel amp though-- an excellent choice for midbass duty. I did feel like the highs were a little harsh on these amps though. When I used the AXTU4360 for midbass duty I was really happy. The best price I could find on the TU600 was $599, so this is a steal.
