Posted July 7, 201015 yr I realize this is somewhat subwoofer dependent, but what are the best tuning frequencies for different goals like spl or sq. Also what would be a good way to match a subwoofer to the goals, T/S parameters?Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
July 8, 201015 yr Author What do you want your system to do?I am starting to build boxes and I am getting the hang of it...my friends are asking for me to build them boxes, some with different system goals than others. I would like to know if there are different frequency ranges that will be better for SQ...daily spl...competition spl...etcTell me what you think.

July 8, 201015 yr Author If you want a fart box, tune above 38-40 hz. I like the way my 30 hz box sounds.LOL, could you elaborate on "fart box"?
July 8, 201015 yr IF tuning low, make sure its a few hz above the SSF of the amp. THIS WILL only matter if the amp has a SSF that is not adjustable. example i.e. IF the SSF is pre set at 30hz, you will want to tune a few hz higher.
July 8, 201015 yr Author So a "fart Box" could be used to maximise spl for a competition if you knew a song that had long single frquency bass?
