Is 1/4 20 tee nuts good or what size to get

You should look into hurricane nuts. T-nuts are kinda tough to get into MDF.

Make sure you don't get resin in the threads though, that would be really bad.

Nope you want something that will soak into the wood.

Go for threaded inserts, much cooler than T-nuts

excuse my ignorance but i know little about fiberglass.

epoxy resin?? or something like that is what id look for right? or do i have to mix stuff together?
