would i be fine if i just did the big 3 upgrade with 0 gauge wire. I have a 12bl fully loaded and a sundown sae 1200d.

It depends on what your stock alternator is, you can start with the Big 3 Upgrade and get a volt meter to watch your voltage. If your voltage starts to drop significantly then look into a secondary battery.

Stock alts are only designed to leave a few amps headroom on the charging circuit as the vehicle comes from the factory, so I would seriously look into a high output alternator, then the big 3, and the battery last.
