Okay, i've been reading up on head units for quite some time, some of you know this from older threads.

I was going to go with the flip out they have, but then decided not too because of the bad reviews i've read.

Then i was going with the iDA-X305S Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. but i don't/won't use Pandora, and it seems without it.. it's useless

Let me know if you run it and don't use Pandora, tell me how it is.

BUT, now i'm planning on the IDA-X303 Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. because it's not all about Pandora.

Does anyone on here run this head unit? If so, how do you like it?

I only use my Itouch for music, no CDs.. keep that in mind.

Side note, check the shallow mount type r's that just came out.

EDIT: I really want the IDA-X305S.. i'm going to call Alpine tomorrow and ask some questions.

Sorry, I can't really give you any input on any of those head units.

But i most certainly did check out the new shallow mount type R's!! They seem like a killer idea!! But... that price, even as a MSRP, is ridiculous!! :trippy:

Well, at least i think so. Good luck with the future set-up!

I would go with the 305s No doubt.

I have messed with both in the store I like navigating on the 305s better. You can see more artists at once when scrolling, like you have 3 lines of texts vs. 1 with the 303.

I also do like the Kenwood KIV-BT900 or KIV-700 too.

Okay, today i realized something... won't i need 4 preouts?

Two Sundown Audio 3500Ds.. that takes up 2 preouts

One PDX 4.100.. that takes up 2 preouts.

Am i wrong? What head unit could work?

The IDA's series are pretty nice the people that post the reviews are the people that end up with a faulty product got it returned and are happy and forgot about the bad review they had left.

The type r's thin i get them for 125 sukasssss

no, you need some Y cables to split your sub signal between the 2 behemoths.

and the alpine units are great. im using the double din ixa404 and i love it.

Okay great!

Did you have to modify your dash to fit the double din? I would love to have one.. but i only have a single dim

Lucky ass. I bought the iDA-X305S Digital Media Receiver yesterday ;)

Alpine FTW!!

I have been checking out the INA-W900. I am just hoping they make a replacement for the PXA-H701.

I'd like to see Alpine do some audio processing again, but judging by how they have geared their products in later years, I find it doubtful.
