Ok putting new system in my car. Dont have room for a second one in the back. Thinking about a XS S1200.

2000 Ford Focus ZX3 with factory alt

big 3 in shok 0g

0g ran to amps in back

Sundown SAZ1500D

Sundown SAX100.4D

Anyone have a used one they want to get rid of.

Since it is going to be your starting and system battery it will be good to fit the biggest battery you can. If your budged allows it of course.

Those 1500D like the power, so you would be pushing it with just one S1200 on stock alternator power. I would suggest running a small battery in the back. I know you said you dont have the room, but even the D680 would help you out and it is very small and easy to hide in the back or under a seat.

You could upgrade the alternator and you might be good with just one battery, depending on your listening habits. Do you listen heavy when sitting and idling or just when driving?

Unfortunately the local alt shop said the largest alt that will fit my car is 150. Its like 300ish plus labor. Its under the damn engine so its a bitch to get too. They advised to not get a second battery, that it would burn my stock alt up. Im still running the stock battery too. Im going to pull the stock battery out of the case tomorrow and measure it to see if i can fit a 5100 or a 3400 under the hood in the stock location.

I listen to music pretty much full tilt all the time. At least i use to, this new setup maybe a little too much for that.

On a side note they said they would do all the labor and installation of a nice shinney 250 alt and install the big 3 free on my TC if i let them take pics and use it to advertise for them.

If you have the 2.0L then we have a 250amp alt that will work with your application and will come as a direct bolt up unit.

Not sure what SSA will charge for shipping, but you can purchase it through their store for $499 plus the shipping. Just need to contact denim and see if he can add the item in for you on the store or if it would be easier for them to just do the order manually. Yes it will be direct bolt on and should use the stock belt if you want to use that one.
