Posted October 3, 200519 yr with 300 watts went to a small audio meet in here in town, and many people had their stuff metered. i figured what the hell, so i borrowed a friend's amp (i STILL don't have my main amp yet...but that's for another thread). his amp puts out 300 @ 2 ohms. the termlab was used, and was placed in the passenger side kick panel. i hit 137 dB...guess that doesn't seem TOO bad considering the sub is in a 2.0 sealed, and in the trunk....with only 300 going to it....
October 3, 200519 yr thats some good numbers for one sub at 300 watts, makes me want mine even more, hopefully soon!

October 3, 200519 yr You can either call around and ask your local shops, or go to an SPL show and compete.

October 20, 200519 yr Just curious, are you guys anywhere near when the measurements are taken, or do you wear hearing protection?I don't understand how everyone isn't deaf with the dB numbers you're talking about.
October 20, 200519 yr Author yeah i was in the car with my finger on the pause button on my remote. i just did several 3 second bursts. it's not that loud...now sitting in my friend's explorer that did a 155+ dB...now THAT'S loud...
October 21, 200519 yr Author ah i had my ears covered in his explorer lol. he had on earplugs and only burped his MTs when we got 'ready'
October 21, 200519 yr My RL-ps are probably pulling around a 141 on music (143ish if I tone burp). I listen to it daily...at that level, for entire songs. My left ear hurts if I put much pressure on it inwards, and it aches sometimes after getting out of the car.RL-p = teh deaf
October 23, 200519 yr Author well it's connected to the Arc...and omg this sub can get loud. gonna tweak the amp a bit more and will post some opinions...great sub Mike pic of amppic of sub
October 26, 200519 yr Author good old black hole<{POST_SNAPBACK}>planning to put some white marble laminate on the box...the sub will really seem like a black hole then...
