Posted September 3, 201015 yr hey everyone.i am looking at doing my front setup very soon and i would like opinions on component speakers. i will most likely be getting the Sundown SAZ-100.4 amp.(or the 125.2)really trying to decide if i wand sound in the bak. im thinkin i do. becuz i dont want to completely screw my friends while listenin to music. i have 6.5 speakers in the doors. and tweeters in the armrest(all stock) in the back, there are 6x9's and tweeters.(stock as well) its a 1994 Toyota Camry Wagon.so...let the opinions flow.how are these Image Dynamics CTX65CS 's ?ive been reading on them and they seem good overall. opinions?ALSO, can i get them any cheaper from another authorized dealer? http://www.woofersetc.com/p6201/CTX65CS--Image-Dynamics-65"-Component-Speaker-System.htmthanks-jonathan Edited September 3, 201015 yr by swagger_wagon468

September 5, 201015 yr Author what type of music do you listen too? What are you trying to accomplish with this system? How much are looking to spend?99% of the time i listen to rap/hiphop. i listen to rock every once in a while. not often though. and eventually ill be getting a 15" BTL. but it will be in the new year. im just trying to have a nice sounding front setup untill i get the sub/amp/box etc. im not lookin to spend 300$ on a set of comps. 200 max im thinkn. so these r perfect for my price range.and also, if i do sound in the rear...should i just do some coax speakers? or another set of components? thanks man

September 5, 201015 yr I like the ID CTX. Nice set for the money, IMO.Agreed. And I would do Coax in the rear.Being that they are silk tweets, they are more smooth sounding. Pretty good SQ though and very good midbass. I have mine in kickpods, so I'm not getting any midbass really, but if you have them in doors, they are great.
September 5, 201015 yr I'm running a set off a sax-125.2 currently. I love them. As said before the tweeters are not harsh at all and blend in well with the mid bass...I'm planning on fitting another set in my front doors and running both sets active.

( i will have to get adapters for these as my rears ar 6x9s)http://www.woofersetc.com/p5557/CTX65--Image-Dynamics-675"-2-Way-Speakers-w--Silk-Tweeters.htmand for $40 more i can get another set of comps... should i just gio with 2 sets of comps? or woult the coax acctually be better?but either way, i think its gonna be a complete pain in the ass to wire the rear speakers from the hatch to the amp. hmm... maybe front only. ugh, not sure Edited September 5, 201015 yr by swagger_wagon468
September 7, 201015 yr Me I don't have a rear stage but i have a trunk car yours is a wagon so there not in the rear deck and may not cancel out but mine did so it wasn't worth just get a cheap pair so your friends won't feel left out...
September 7, 201015 yr I'd personally leave stock in the back and run that off of head unit power, then just amp the fronts. You will barely hear the rears regardless so why spend the money. This options saves you from having to buy a more expensive 4 channel as opposed to the 2 channel, and saves you from buying rears. That'll save you $X amount of money and put that towards your substage.I've done quite a few stereos like, and once you add the sub you'll never even notice.
