Hey guys... It's me again... This time wondering if I should pick this one up... Can get the JL Audio 300/2 for about $175..

I would be using it for my front stage... I would also like to get some recommendations for the front stage.... I will be removing the rear deck speakers to make subwoofer sound easier to travel into the cabin...

Should I pull the trigger or are there other options out there?

I have 4 amps that interest me and are within a reasonable price range... I don't think I want to be that close to the $300 mark... So help me out again guys...

I just threw a reference Soundstream in there, although I know its over my apparent budget...lol

JL amps are top notch, and if you only plan on doing fronts, I'd say go for it.

My issue is that my setup could be technically simpler if I go for the JL amp but if I save a few and get the Soundstream Ref amp then I can make a more elaborate front stage... Since it can handle a 2 ohm load and it would actually increase output....

I will be mixing and matching midbass woofers and tweeters... just have to find out which amp is the more trusted and true plus I want all the opinions I can get on it.... If you guys mostly pick the JL then my life, setup and install are gonna be easier.. On top of that my wallet won't go so thin...lol

With a 2 ch amp, you'll need a component set with its passive filter.

The JL seems cheap : it's a good amp, for $175 ? Dam ! Go for it before it's gone !

Get the cheapest one, as long as it is powerful enough. 2 x 100 watts rms is good for a front component set IMO.

If you want to mismatch mids and highs, you'll need a 4 ch amp : you will run each speaker with its own channel. It's harder to do, and to fine tune ! But it can be much better if you know what to chose and how to set it up.

Sale fell through on the 300/2 ... hurt my little heart that this guy was making a deal and trying to have me bid war with some douche.! Anyway... I'm in the market for a 2ch amplifier that is in the 100-150 watt range... My choices good enough? or do you have more for me to look at?

There is a deal on a BOSS Audio (ZED made ) 4 ch amp here at ssa.

Look for the topic.

It's cheap, really cheap and seems to be a solid amp.

I would buy it if I was looking for a 4 ch amp !!!
