im looking to buy a single 15" sub. im upgrading from 2 12" sony xplod sub so im sure whatever i pick is going to be a helluva upgrade but i still want to get the best bang for my buck and SQ.

I looking at the Icon X and Fi Q and i wanted to know which would be louder and have better SQ.

Also what box should i use sealed or ported

Vehicle: 2008 Trailblazer LT with bose all the way around with a pioneer 3200 DVD indash headunit.

THanks for all your feedback

Single xcon 15 in a sealed box if you want to save space!!!!! HEARD they are loud sound hell of good aske Sirlance, He still talks about his 15inch xcons(Sealed box setup) till this day.

They don't have any dicks :ehh:

I heard Xcons (4) 15s and it was pretty crazy, he was hitting 150s. I've heard GREAT things about FI Q and Icons! I'd go sealed IMO.

They don't have any dicks :ehh:

Does that make you sad?

No, I'm not a fan of dick :werd_msword:

Asking for loud and SQ means you don't understand either. Tell us what you want to improve over your current setup instead and we can help.

Where in the world is this topic going?

i see a recone in the future lol do you have a buget ? and what r you running for amp and electrical ? need more info

This is one of the topics that needs alot more explanation on your part please. Like stated what kind of electrical are you running, what are you looking to get rid of from the sony's? What are you wanting to improve? And please dont just say be louder and more SQ as that really means nothing. What kind of budget you have, and what are you looking at in the future. How much space do you want to take up? Well man those are the basics that i can think of, but if you would like a more concise answer from people please explain these a little more.

Right now I have stock electrical with a 3.5 farad cap. My sonys are just cheap subs and I've had them for years and starting to sound like shit. I'll probably get a 1000w rms amp for the sub. I'd like to get more sq out of it but have it still be relatively loud I'm not competing I just want it loud enough you can hear me coming. Space doesn't matter to much I don't haul much stuff in my truck. Thanks guys

Meh, you know what i mean I want it loud but to sound good. It's doesn't need to be like 150+ db I'm not competeing nor do I plan to. I just want a good sounding loud sub.

Well... depends on budget.

SQ sub that gets pretty loud - Fi Q

Loud sub that doesn't sound too bad - Fi BL

The SSA icon has it's place here somewhere too, i just haven't read too much about them.

All would sound good off of 1000 watts.

what's the price range?

edit: It sounds like to me that your leaning more towards the BL route. What sounds good to you? have you heard any other systems? list your experience!!

You sound like a BL man to me if you want to keep the 1000rms.
