Right now I'm building a new box for one 8" sundown Sa-8 that I'll be using until I get another 1 or 2. My current box is tuned too high for my liking.

How much square port area is recommended for these subs?

What is the lowest you would recommend I tune the box to?

Right now I'm tuned to 34 hz, between .75 and .85 cubes after displacement by messing with some dimensions, with 13 inches of square port area. Is this enough for one Sa-8? I don't want to make too big of a box for it per Jacob's recommendations.

Thanks.

you should be good where your at. how much power are you using?

So - I thought I'd come back after building the box and let you guys know how it worked out.

IT !@#$ING SLAMS

I ended up netting .75 cubes @ 36 hz and I love it. Now I want more of these.

what is the displacement factor for the sa-8? I have a gross box size of 1.10 cuft

What happened to not liking the high tuning? You said you didn't like 34hz then went with 36hz. What made you change your mind? And where is a video! :)
