  • Author

getting lots of mechanical noise during free air testing

um... isn't that normal?

  • Author

this is not normal, never experienced this before sounds like metal is lose in there somewhere

Gonna have to send this sub back to mark there is no way a sub should sound like this

  • Author

if i had to guess the spider is warped and causing coil rub

The only problem is nomex doesn't warp.

Subwoofers make mechanical noise, ESPECIALLY free air.

  • Author

sounds like the coil is rubbing esp on lows

put it in a box then come back,

  • Author

already did that same thing can hear it pretty well from top of the cone

On both or just one? If only on one, there might be a problem.

regardless i will not accep this

Calm down. You sent him a PM, he'll get it. This thread was utterly pointless.

  • Author

pointless lol do u now c why i wanted to contact mark on personal level, now you will see the opportunity for those to call themselves an ass. and as far as Cs goes Jacob holds true.

To say the least i would not feel good about running this sub on a daily setup.

  • Author

I have ran multiple subs on a free air setup and none have given me an unsatisfactory result like now, and besides the fact i now have a biased feeling about certain subs. I am sure Mark will take care of this, as this is not a spl setup but in no way should a "SQL" sub sound like this.

You do realize you sent him a PM on a Saturday night? They have business hours you know, not everyone runs on your time.

Most likely, even if it isn't Mark and Aaron will take care of you. No need to worry about their customer service.
