Well, here is the deal: Ikesound is out of DEI 1100D5's, so when I returned mine because it wouldn't power up, they said that I can have store credit (haha), so I emailed them back and told them I want a refund.

I am probably going to go with a pair of the US Amps IS series amps (IS 2200 and IS 4065).

I will be splitting up the crossover on my 3 way rainbows to run the midrange and tweeter off of 2 channels and the midbass off of the other 2 channels of my amp.

I have 2 long runs of rca's and 4 short pairs for what I previously planned on doing, so that is a factor.

I also heard that it is bad for sq to have multiple processing devices, so that is why I am kind of weary of getting an external crossover.

If I manage to sell my eqt's for $125, I would probably have ended up paying another $125 for an external crossover, so $50 more for a used dqx would be a pretty good deal.

That is all of my thoughts on the topic.

An all-in-one unit is best for simplicity's sake. I wouldn't worry too much about degrading the sound by using multiple processors. It's been done for YEARS with no adverse effects. Many a SQ trophy car has gone this route, so don't put too emphasis on that. Concentrate on getting the right equipment to give you the control you need and will fit best in your application.

BTW, as far as crossovers go, once I first used a Coutsic crossover, I have never used anything else. Their extremely flexible and just great units. The XM-7 is an truly awesome piece. Wish I kept mine.

I really like the DQX idea, I would love to have an all in one digital, and I know that AC makes some of if not the best processors
