Hi guys,

I was looking at the cut sheets for the fi Q 12 ported which is tunes to 32 Hz, and have a few question.

what would I have to do, (if it can be done) to the same box, to tune it to 28 Hz? Or Would I have to build another box?

Would you recommend tuning it to 28 Hz as opposed to 32 Hz ? What are the prows and cons?

Thanks,

Shopvac

You would need to increase port length to lower tuning, do you feel there is anything lacking with your current enclosure?

Might lose some effieciency when doing that but probally not that noticeable.

Audibly I don't think you will be able to notice much of a change.

You'll likely never hear a difference..

BTW Sean I emailed you about that crossover...do you still want to get rid of it?

Just saw that today and replied, sorry about the delay...and sure :)

Have not build the enclosure as yet, I am just trying to understand this whole tuning senario...

Thanks,

No goals specifically, been reading on other forums, with all sorts of suggestions, just would like to build the right enclosure.

Sorry for not giving much details, the box is for daily use.

Big thanks to everyone for their attentive reply.

daily, then keep the tuning above 30hz. did you buy the sub yet?

If you have no goals why even bother with a sub. You can listen to music daily on the stock stereo so that doesn't help...
