Posted November 19, 201014 yr Ok I have 1 3k and a 100.4. I have a yellow top under the hood and 2 Kinetik 2400 in the rear. The problem I have is there is no one that makes a alt for my car. I do plan on adding a second alt where the ac compressor but that going to happen at tax time. What I need to know is how many more 2400's I would need to run a 4500. Right now my voltage doesn't drop below 12.5 at full tilt on music. My stock alt is a 90 amp and does 14.5 cold and 13.9 hot. My batterys rest at 13.3. I hope this all the info needed to come up with a answer. Edited November 19, 201014 yr by thecartel
November 19, 201014 yr The best way to answer this question is to get the amp, run it at your maximum listening levels, check your voltage drops, and add betteries until your satisfied with your voltage. We can't give you a number and have a pre-set fix for you. This is a situation that only you can figure out with your own testing.
November 19, 201014 yr One more 2400 should be fine, the problem you will run into is charging three 2400's with a stock alternator.

I've seen some go from 70 amp to about 130. Not much but it's better than nothing.

Stock alternators are made to produce the most amperage at idle.

Well I know not to take that route anymore
November 19, 201014 yr Author OP, what companies have you tried contacting?I've tried Mechman,Power master etc etc. The only one that make one for my car is Iarggi (sp) but with everything I hear how about them I rather not even buy from them. what i'm going to do is replace the ac compressor with a second alt. most likely a Mechman 1 wire 200-250 amp Edited November 19, 201014 yr by thecartel
November 24, 201014 yr Charles, you can never have too many batteries, but you will be ok with what you have. Adding a 3rd Kinetik would be great. You've seen my car and know that I currently run 2 4500's. I also have 2 Kinetik 2400's and stock battery under the hood and a stock Honda 60a alternator.Been running that way for years and I do everything from Bass Race, to Bass Boxing, to Highlander classes.Again, not saying what you have is the best, or recommended, but you can get by with it.Add batteries as you have room to install and as you can afford.
