Posted November 27, 201014 yr After doing the math i come up with a .825 cubic foot enclosure which doesn't seem to leave me with room for ports. Can someone help me out here please? What should my internal volume be? I used the box calculator at the12volt.com, is there a different calculator I should be using? Thank You to anyone who can help me.
November 27, 201014 yr The .825 is the internal volume (NET).You need to add to that volume for speaker displacement and any bracing. What type of port do you plan on using, slot/round, internal/external?The port will add to the the volume of the enclosure, giving you the GROSS volume of the enclosure. You need to figure out what the volume of your port will be and how much room you have to work with. You didn't say exactly what info you need beyond what I've stated above, so post back with exactly what you need to know.I believe there's also a port calc. on that site, but I haven't used it. December 2, 201014 yr Would help tremendously if you bought my box off my FS thread... But yeah, dimensions would be good.
December 6, 201014 yr I also have a box that was designed for two SA-8's, though its tuned lower than 35. It is currently looking for a new home if your interested. 1.5 cubes after displacements, 37" wide, 13" deep and 12" high, with 32 inches of port area and tuned to 28 hertz.
