I am about to build a new box for my bl and I wanted to know if it would sound better with the sub facing up and the port facing the back door on my jeep or have the sub and port on the same side?

This would be better in the fabrication section but, usually you'll have more output subs up port back in an suv.

yup, sub up port back with port on the passenger side.
