I've decided to go ahead and keep my Dcon, but now I need a new amp. I'm on a tight budget and I found these two:

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_9037_MTX-Audio-XThunder-702X.html

Both are right on my budget, but the main thing I'm looking at is that all the controls and inputs are on the same side. Where I'm mounting it (under rear seat) and the way my wires are already ran makes these two a good fit (my old amp was an MTX RFL600D).

I've never understood the technical aspects of amps, so what I need to know is which amp would be a better choice?

Single.

I also might add that I was extremely disappointed with my last amp (SS Tarantula) so I'm kind of hesitant to spend more money on another one.

if i had to pick with those two i would go with the MTX 702 but i would buy it from here because it is cheaper!

why because i like the style and the power is the similar and it is cheaper on amazon! (the link i listed above)

also i assume your sub is a single 4ohm coil right

Yes, sir. My plans have changed again (imagine that :ehh: ), so these two amps are out.

The RFL does power at 4 ohm mono. Maybe look for a used Sundown 125.2.
