Posted March 27, 201114 yr So im planning on getting 2 12" xconsI have the money to get one right now. I already have a 12" enclosure. I could order one (when they become available) and use it on the current enclosure while I wait a bit til I can get the 2nd one.My question is, will there be any unbalance or noticeable difference when it comes to the break-in period? If I go this way, by the time I get the 2nd one, the first one might be already breaking in and I wouldn't like unbalanced bass.Sorry if this is a really stupid thread, I dont know if such thing is possible or if humans can even hear such a difference. But I rather ask than regret in the future.
March 27, 201114 yr Yes, break-in will most definitely affect the sound, however, it may be indetectable to your ears. Generally on subwoofers, it is not as noticeable.

March 28, 201114 yr It shouldn't be too noticeable especially with the fact they will both be put in a totally different enclosure. Should be undetectable.
March 28, 201114 yr This shouldn't really be noticeable by the ears. I say go for it and grab one up now!
March 28, 201114 yr I recommend to wait for the funds to purchase both drivers. This way you do not have to redo your setup.
March 28, 201114 yr Buy one and getting going. It's going to be so loud when you get the second one you aren't going to tell the difference. A couple of weeks after getting the second one you'll probably forget which is which any ways. The economy is trying to get back on track. Spend some money bro, it's the American way.
March 28, 201114 yr Even though he already has a single 12" box he said though? so It's not like he would be building a single 12 box and then have to redo it and make another dual 12 box.. He already has the 1-12" box ( if i read correctly ^ )
March 28, 201114 yr Author Yeah I already have a 12" enclosure. Im scared the XCON might end up breaking it since its single baffle lolInteresting what denim has mentioned. Another alternative could be to use my current money to build the dual xcon box and then just buy both together. I think that would work best.
