how much max RMS watts can a 18" fully loaded BTL N2 handle ??

i was wondering if i can run a 2400 watt RMS hifonics amp to it ??

also will a 6 cubic feet box ported to 35 hz sound good ??

Edited by b00sted

It can handle alot more than what that hifonics can throw at it. The box sounds good, but i personally would tune a little lower, like 32 hz.

It depends how much you know about car audio, if you are very carefull with the equipment or not.

But general 2400 will not blow it, but sometimes people can blow it with a smaller amp. :peepwall:

From what I understand so far, you should listen to the sub to know how it reacts. If it sounds good, ok !! If it starts making strange noises, turn the gain down !!!

It's how I do it without any DMM or oscilloscope.

Maybe it's not the best way, but it works for me !!! I'll see how an saz 3000 works on mine soon !!!

I have a BTL N2 18" in 8 cubes (7.5 after displacement) tuned at 32hz. Hits hard and low! I have the amp turned down to 2000 watts, my amp will do 3000 watts and a little more since I have good voltage. The sub is laughing at the power im giving it, even though its at RMS, still sounds great never the less. Try tuning to 32 or 33hz!
