Mike do you have the Leap graphs for the RL-p like you have on the website for the RL-i? I looked for them in the forum but I might have missed them..

:huh2:

just wanted to see what it looked like with the QTS of this driver, since the specs lends it much more to ported I am curious of the different response levels of the 3 different ported and 3 different sealed,

if you dont have it on hand no biggie, just was curious, and wanted to maybe try different enclosures, and if so maybe push it to a large sealed enclosure to test it out, (just so you know I am hating myself for not being able to test out the RL-s)

For your viewing pleasure (all I have handy are 15" graphs, will have more soon):

Sealed RL-p15

Solid Magenta Line: 2.1 cu ft

Dotted Green Line: 1 cu ft

Dashed Red Line: 3.5 cu ft

rlp15-sealed1.gif

Vented RL-p15

Solid Magenta Line: 3.5 cu ft @ 23.5 Hz

Dotted Green Line: 2.75 cu ft @ 28 Hz

Dashed Red Line: 3 cu ft @ 26 Hz

PS. I'll see what's going on with the Supreme demo - as I was on vacation last week I let things slide a bit :coffee:

thanks mike,

just wondering which SS sub are you using in your home?

thats cool mike!

still waiting for the 12".... ;)

wanna see what it would look like with 1 cube

I'm still truckin' with my RL-p15 in a 3.5 @ 25 Hz slot port off of a maximum 1200 watts (which is MORE than enough for my moderate sized living room - I've already had the neighbors come a knockin' twice in the last week and have had my NAD T753 receiver set to -12dB on the woofer output!). I've been hankerin' to switch it up with a sealed RL-s but just haven't had the time to make it happen yet.

Will also try to get some 12" RL-p graphs up later tonight and holy bejesus I need to update the website too! crazy2.gif:hyper:

I get a feelin I am missing out on same great SQ...transients and the like...

I am sitting at 2.75 @ 36..I bet the 8hz drop in tuning to 28 would yeild some great SQ increases.

Though it would probably get some SPL loss :(

even though response isn't exactly flat...the loudness probably makes up for it hahaha

thats what I want to do really bad

Allright guys, sorry for the wait.. you know, holidays and all (the perfect excuse! :finger: ). I finally went ahead and ran the graphs on the RL-p12, and I even did ya one better and finished up what will be the public detail page for that specific driver. Tried to hit on as many of the frequently asked questions that I get from people as I could without going totally overboard. Hasn't gone live yet (probably sometime o'er the weekend or maybe even next week), but without further ado...

[CHECK IT OUT], and let me know what you think! :rockwoot:

Yea darn it, my webhost is bein' the uber geh and "running server maintenance" which usually equates to "We don't know what's wrong, but give us an undetermined amount of hours, maybe days, and we'll get it back up for ya only to have it go down again in a couple weeks" mad.gif

The whole site is down (including email!) and if this keeps up much longer I'm switching hosts rockets.gif

.. and to add insult to injury I can't even use my custom smilies to emote my frustration! :P:Doh::poop:

Mike,

That is a huge improvement. You know I asked you a few questions that I wouldn't have if that was up first, and I am uber happy with my sub! The only thing I would change from a first fast (and a bit drunk) read would be to use a different term other than consensus. When I hear consensus I see some average joe idiot that is normal and your subs are far from normal. Saying that the average SQ car audio competitor or audiophile/wambat prefers know that is the truth. Since you are marketing towards people more in the know, I'd push it.

looks great mike,

by going to a larger box and lower tuning it shows that the response flatens out nicely
