Posted April 18, 201114 yr This is what happens when you get wood cut at home depot. I got all my cuts at home depot and some are 1/16 to short. they wasnt using the regular saw. i was wondering can i use some sealer tape for the cracks?
April 18, 201114 yr If nothing else just use some caulk on the inside, and a nice bead of glue when you put it together.
April 18, 201114 yr Take it back, that was their error and they should help you out since they usually like to keep customers. If you have already put glue on the wood, then I do not think it can be returned.
April 18, 201114 yr If you have a sander or evern a file you could use that to somewhat even things out more. If not you could use a mixture of wood glue and saw dust to creat a bondo type filler.
April 18, 201114 yr what in the hell did they cut that shit with? lol... everytime ive been there and had them make cuts for me it was with a panel saw.. usually got at least straight lines, but they do always tell you that they arent perfect, so you got to know that going into it. I would just use extra glue and caulk the hell out of the inside of that part.
April 18, 201114 yr They cut the wood for my first boxflawlessly and i was very pleased. On the second box though they made a mistake on almost every cut 2/16ths short here, 3/16ths short there, 2 inches too long here, and so on. It took me so long to fix the mistakes they made But they do not make exact cuts so thus its not policy to refund you anything. However, as I've found with most home-depots, if you make enough of a scene they should take care of you. I wish your luck was better than mine, but it appears that we have the same bad luck with home depot and the panel saw operators

When that stuff cures, it's awesome Put it either on the inside seam or take the bottom panel off and put some between the panels.
April 18, 201114 yr Go buy some quarter round and glue that in the corners or if you have wood left over cut some 3/4" x 3/4" x ..." long strips and glue them in the corners.I reamed a guy at HD once because he put his knee against the MDF on the panel saw. As he bent down he pushed the MDF ~ 5/8" as he was cutting it.He thought he was doing a good job until I measured the cut/offset. He didn't do that on the replacement sheet I went and got off the rack. These were not critical cuts, just to get them in the car to take home.Nobody cares about your stuff more then you do!! That's why I do everything I can myself. Edited April 18, 201114 yr by cobra93
April 19, 201114 yr wood glue, screws might pull it closer.and last i agree wt cobra, get an extra piece and glue it to the inside of the box.or saw dust and wood glue is always a win.
