Is that insert/bracket plastic or metal? Installed it looks like painted metal.

I think in one of my posts I said it was a steel bracket, if not it's in here now. It is very strong and think it will support the HU well, just have to be very precise on the cuts to make the face of the dash match up with the relocation of the HU and a/c control.

Crimp and solder. Realized I didn't have fuel for my little torch when I got started so they are crimped for now.

We will be changing the battery so I can hit the ends with solder at that time.

I guess at this point it's a "No Brainer" on which sub to use.

Maybe we can use the one on the left for the doors of Grasshopper's 454 Truck!!!
