I missed it, is the tank for airbags?

I believe so, but not entirely sure.

  • Wow, nice build. However, you should have predrilled holes on a couple of pieces of wood. They split and will cause you some problems with SQ. Just ask, I'm sure somebody here will tell you that exact

yea, im finishing the box before i start that, or ill start the bags and never finish the box LOL

i do have all the parts though, with the exception of fittings and stuff.

Will the face of the wall get trim panels as well or do you have something else in mind?

Did you ever get those corners glassed or taken care of some way or another? Just looks like it's getting harder and harder to get back there to work on them. Looks good though! :D

yea the trim panels will be all in place and covered this weekend. and no i havent glassed yet LOL. i can still get in the box though through the port.

bondo'd these up, going to try and cover the whole trim panel in a seamless piece of suede (the port will be a lighter suede than the rest of the trim panel)

Where do you get the button looking things that you used in this pic??

Nice progress! Is suede pretty easy to work with?

IMO its pretty easy, especially on flat panels like that.

when the wall is done, the front seats are getting wrapped in Ultra Leather (like 85 a yard or something crazy) but its VERY comfortable haha.

reason its 1/4" longer than the port is because i still have to make a 1/4" trim piece that goes on the port, so i accounted for that. im going to make that then have robin round over the whole thing. i have a router and roundover bit, but im not the best with a router, so i dont wanna slip and make a bit notch in my port and have to re do it.

Thanks for all the pics!!! Keep up the progress!!!

Everything is coming along nicely :)

thanks. cant wait to get the port rounded over all around, its going to look nice!

really happy with how this is turning out! i only had a 1/2" roundover bit, im going to look for a 3/4" one tomorow and run over it with that, just to give it a little larger of a roundover.

I like the round-over look as well, seems to me it will help smooth the air movement in the transition through the port. :drink40:

Great detail oriented work man!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IMG_20110511_175420.jpg
