Hey guys I'm getting my plan's ready on my btl n2 18. I already have my amp to power it(hifonics for now). But I'm still deciding on the box plans. I'm doing a ported box tuned to 33hz. I want to do the box perfect and to spec but I'm having a hard time calculating the bracing and how thick I should make it for safety.

Any advice would be appreciated thanks for your time

Mine is 8 cu. feet (7.5 after displacement), tuned to 32hz, 1 inch mdf, I do not have the specs for the port, it think it is about 120^2 inches, I have the subwoofer firing up on left side of enclosure, port facing rear on the right side. Some guys on here might pitch in and say they will design one for you or build it for $. That would be your best bet, also post your vehicle type and measurements of how large it can be, be specific as possible. =]

3/4" MDF is fine for the N2. If you don't have it yet, download this and play around with some of the dimensions. DO NOT use the RE calculator found here, as it tunes way too low.

Good luck!
