Posted May 10, 201114 yr I currently have a 750 ca ac delco battery in my 2001 Buick lesabre. I'm going to be running my sundown sae 1200 @ 2 ohms for awhile and then may be adding a sub and dropping to one ohm. My car has a stock 130 amp alt. I have a kinetik hc1400 from my last system that is just sittin around and haven't gotten much interest when I tried selling it locally so figured might as well use it if it'll be better. First off can kinetiks be used as stand alone batteries? I don't want to run two batteries, so I'm wondering if the kinetik I have would be better then the ac delco battery in the car, like will it be noticably better?

May 24, 201114 yr Author Thanks for the responses guys. I have the special application hc1400, with the taller terminal post. My battery is located under my back seat and the kinetik is a little over an inch too tall. But I have found a local buyer for it so Ill have some moneys for some different, hopefully the kid doesn't back out. I've been pondering giving the oreilly super start agm a try. After a little research I've only seen good reviews and according to what I've read they're made by deka. Only 140 for the one that fits my car, which is group 78. Seems like a deal just wondering if anyone here had any experience with them? Edited May 24, 201114 yr by zack w
May 24, 201114 yr If the battery holds a good charge go for it.I would not mix battery brands though.
May 24, 201114 yr psh, i have 5 different brands lol Lolz. I have always read not to mix brands and more importantly battery types. Each to his own
May 24, 201114 yr Author I'm only looking to run one battery. I need the space in my trunk, and the box already takes up enough so I want to keep the battery in it's stock location.
