December 11, 200519 yr Author Thanks for the heads up 60 ~ I dropped a few words.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>yerwelcome, so you added magnets to the sub while testing it for ts, instead of placeing it in an enclosure? why? i wonder if image dynaimcs will now start useing your drivers?
December 11, 200519 yr As you alluded, there are two ways to test drivers: 1) add mass to shift compliance; 2) load in a sealed box to shift compliance. From my technical contact: "We test with praxis, sine-sweep, at 2.83 Volts, and the data is within 2-3% of LMS data taken at 2.83 Volts, except that Praxis uses a more data-points and has a higher order better curve-fit, thus being slightly more repeatable and accurate. The new LEAP5 model is probably most accurate, but is very time-consuming."So in short, we use this method 'cause it's practical!
December 11, 200519 yr Hi Mike,"1) add mass to shift compliance;"I'm sure it was just a typo, but adding mass shifts Fs.
December 14, 200519 yr Admin I could defend better once Mike makes me an authorized dealer so I can help him sell more of these beauties
