June 25, 201114 yr Author this is probably a well educated assumption, but none of those are photos are originals shots? correct? you adobe them up? or what do program do you use??? i'm curious...I use Adobe Lightroom 7 for editing purposes. I only edit exposure, color saturation, sharpness and crop. Nothing is "photoshopped". Oh yeah a couple photos are HDR. I use Photomatix Pro3 for HDR.
June 25, 201114 yr Looking good. My friend is pretty into photography, always jealous of you people with the camera skillz!
June 25, 201114 yr Definatly amazing shots!!! Some are darn near mezmerizing!! How long have you been behind a camera??
June 25, 201114 yr Nice work, especially the bridge shot.I'm in the market for a new camera. In fact, I was just checking out that exact Nikon. However, my friend has been pressuring me into picking up a Canon. I've never swayed from Nikon so I'm not sure what to do at the moment.
June 25, 201114 yr Author gotcha... they're loving.... the bridge looks fantastic broThank you. That is an 8 shot HDR.i like the pic at the drag strip you should be a professional photographer.Awe shit thanks man. I am nearly not good enough to be a pro!!!Looking good. My friend is pretty into photography, always jealous of you people with the camera skillz!Like anything, you have to go out and do it!Some pretty awesome pictures! !!Thank you!Definatly amazing shots!!! Some are darn near mezmerizing!! How long have you been behind a camera??Thank you! This is my first decent camera. And although the camera is a huge factor in photo quality it definitely isn't everything! I have been shooting for about 1.5 years.Nice work, especially the bridge shot.I'm in the market for a new camera. In fact, I was just checking out that exact Nikon. However, my friend has been pressuring me into picking up a Canon. I've never swayed from Nikon so I'm not sure what to do at the moment.I love my Nikon. Every manufacturer has it's perks. I highly recommend a D7000 if you want to be serious about amateur photography. This upcoming month a guy at work is buying my D5000 outfit and I am upgrading to the D7000 :dancing: :dancing:
June 25, 201114 yr You should take some photos of your ssa subs out of the box. We might just "pay" for them. You have some great photos there...
June 25, 201114 yr Author Thanks Mark. I do not have a brand new SSA subs right now but I will keep that in mind for the future.
February 19, 201213 yr Author I picked up two old Tokina manual lenses over the weekend. Here are a couple pics a shot over the weekend. Not bad considering I paid $35 each for the lenses.
February 19, 201213 yr edub, best place to get used lenses? I know Sony and Nikon are different but maybe the places you find yours may be a good start for me.. I need nice zoom.. Still rocking my 18-55 kit lens ... And girlfriend's Minolta fixed 100mm lens which I use rarely since it kinda scrapes the mount ... Also, what's a good F range to look for in a zoom lens?

Also, what's a good F range to look for in a zoom lens?I bough these from a lady that I found on Craigslist. Good thing with craigslist is that if you meet face to face you get to look at the lenses before you buy Also http://www.thephotoforum.com/ and www.adorama.com is a good place to look. Here is the deal with zoom ranges and aperture size. The bigger the aperture (smaller the f number) the more you are going to pay. It gets expensive quick. Fast glass is expensive really no matter what focal length. Although there is a nice variety of big aperture prime lenses at decent prices but zooms are a different story. Buy what you can afford and what you will use. Everybody wants a f2.8 70-200mm but few can shell out +$2000.This is where the camera comes into play as well. Spend big bucks on a camera and (hopefully) get better ISO performance. The better ISO performance can allow you to take pictures with faster shutter speeds. A big aperture lets you take pics with a faster shutter speeds (compared to a smaller aperture), among other attributes. A higher ISO will let you use a faster shutter speed (compared to a lower ISO) as well. The trade off with high ISO is noise. The high dollar camera should have less noise at a given ISO than the cheaper camera. In the end it all comes down to how much money you want to spend.

Tokina seems to have some good lenses for my camera as well as Tamron.
February 20, 201213 yr Author I've owned three Tokina lenses without any issues. I have not owned Tamron. I would consider Sigma too.
