Posted December 24, 200519 yr with everyday household items?im gonna be gettin and inverting a 12" claw and the butt is kinda not shiney.
December 24, 200519 yr the method i'd suggest would be an orbital polisher and some rubbing compound. Its what i use on my plastic headlights to make them like glass, shouldn't be too harsh for the butt...try it and let me know :-D
December 24, 200519 yr rub it nice and deep. really try to get into it.think of it as Vida Guerra's ass. baby oil may help a little.
December 24, 200519 yr Best solution on the TC9 would be to plug the pole vent, take some sand paper about 320 or so, then switch to a real fine for a final pass. Follow up with an appropriate BARE METAL POLISH that will work well on steel. Trying to just polish this piece is going to be a pain. Been there, done that. even tried a tarnish remover. Didn't work. Only method I could, I just posted.
December 24, 200519 yr Ryan ... you've seen the ass of the uber. Any suggestions for tha guy? Since it is inverted, I'd like something shiny (I realize it'll never be chrome ...)
December 24, 200519 yr Might have to go with the same approach. It's the same steel. I don't see why they can't at least put some type of clear or anodize on it to begin with. It really will all depend on how oxidized it is. Had I polished mine the moment I received it, it would probably look perfect.

December 25, 200519 yr eh if it doesn't work and it ends up scratched, just use a fine grit sandpaper and sand till it has a nice continuous scratch "grain" to it, will almost look machined, which i usually prefer over polished anyway
December 25, 200519 yr I polish RL-p 'arse' using metal polisher, turn out to be good. The flat area is harder to polish. http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...ndpost&p=111413
December 25, 200519 yr Author wow that looks awful nice. reza...is rim polisher okay? cuz i have some lying around.

December 25, 200519 yr I used some 320 then 400 on the back of my subwoofer. Then i put some chrome polish on it.It didnt make a huge difference but it looked better than it did before.Chromed motors really stand out when you polish them up ( anything from RE)
December 26, 200519 yr Brasso, when applied and buffed with a microfiber chamois, is a great solution for polishing metal and plastic. (Sorry for the "ad"speak)http://www.stanleylondon.com/brasso.htmhttp://www.design-technology.org/brasso.htm
January 10, 200619 yr not to drag up an old post but i polished my ava's butt with some 3m scratch remover and moved onto a car wax (seemed like a good idea)It polished it up very nicely even though you can't tell in the pics, but it didn't remove any scratches that were significanthttp://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/vladd...io/motor004.jpghttp://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/vladd...io/motor003.jpgthe blotchyness in the pics buffs right off, i just haven't taken the time to buff it all off yet as its barely visible at all in person
January 10, 200619 yr Author i like the milky look to them! hmmm since i didnt get the claw, might do this to my rlp.
