well whatever 3 subs i get will be facing up with aero ports back, will have one set of aero ports for spl and another set to sound real good and hit lows for daily driving and box built to rec specs.

id really love to do the ssd's but there 1000 watts now and there around 300 bucks a piece, im thinkin sundown sa's too but some say there just chinese subs....

Everyone has steered me away from the new

RE stuff and specifically the Sex line since RE was bought out. They cite lower build

quality and then subsequently horrible customer service for them.

I didn't realize the ssd line went up that much in price, nothing wrong with Sundown.

The Fi website has them listed at $184 the same as an SA-10

yea but there now a 1000 watt sub same as the bl i have now, im trying to do 3 subs so need subs around 600 watts, if only the ssa fcons were going into production soon cuz only thing i really see that stands out to me are the SA line of subs

that is true but if i were to get 3 ssd's that would be a good 1000 watts underpowered and wouldnt my amp be straining that 2k it has to feed these ssd's?

Nope. If you have your amplifier set correctly (3) SSD's will have no extra strain on the amp as compared to (3) SA-10.

so how would i set my amp correctly on 3 ssd's to were its not putting strain on anything and will perform fine day in day out, just dont wanna have that thought in my head of anything being strained so i can pound in peace haha because i do love the feedback the ssd's have had and i know they will get loud

alright ill see if i can find it and check it out, so you really think an aq2200 wired at 1.3 ohms can get 3 10" ssd's moving enough to outperform 3 sa-10s or just as good? would be putting out a lil less then 2k watts....

There's a lesson in how the equipment works that needs taught here I believe. Subs don't "pull" power or put a "strain" on any amplifier. Now, that doesn't speak to the impedance the amp is seeing, I'm just referring to the fact that speakers are stupid. They do as they're told and are in no way an intelligent device that uses, pulls or requires power to operate. Now, if you wire any speaker(s) to any amp and the impedance is less than the amp is rated for it will stress the amp, but that has NOTHING to do with the wattage the speaker(s) are rated at. You can put a 10,000 watt speaker on a 1 watt amp and it won't stress that amp any worse than it would a 10,000 watt amp, it just won't get as loud obviously. As long as whatever subs you get have a final impedance that didn't go below 1 ohm it won't matter if they're rated for 300wrms or 2,000 wrms it's not going to stress the amp any differently at 1 ohm.

And I'll admit I'm biased, go with Fi.... :D
