I have a 96 cadillac eldorado. I put a 240 amp alt kit in a reman alt. it worked fine for about a month. now whenever the engine is running the lights flicker. I get a constant 14.5 volts at the battery. do you have any ideas?

I see that you said constant 14.5v but is there any possible belt slip?

With my stock alt my lights do not flicker. It charges at 14.3-13.8v.

With my DC Power alt it charges at 14.9-14.7v. When bass hits my lights flicker. I believe this is because of the higher charging voltage.
